Canada’s Express Entry System
Express Entry is an application management platform for Federal High Skilled Immigration Programs (FSWP, FSTP and Canadian Experience Class (CEC). Express Entry applicants may be eligible to one or more of the following programs.
Once a candidate is accepted into the Express Entry pool, IRCC awards points based on human capital factors like age, education, work experience, and language proficiency in English or French. The Express Entry draw invites only the highest-scoring candidates.
Express Entry candidates who are nominated by a PNP automatically receive 600 CRS points towards their total score. This effectively ensures that Express Entry candidates will be invited to apply (ITA) in a future draw.
During the pandemic, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada held PNP-only draws, in which candidates required a PNP to be invited. Last week was the most recent draw.
